Monkey With a Typewriter

By the way...
I won the lottery! TWICE!
Perhaps I should give you details before you request some of my winnings. Firstly, all of my winnings have been spent. On laundry and a few more tickets.
For I matched one number + the mega number on Wednesday, and three numbers on Saturday, and I am now 13 dollars richer. PLUS I won a free scratchy ticket.

Maybe I should hit the bingo halls and see what I can shake out of the gray-hairs before the authorities catch on...

Aaaaaah...COMIC-CON!

Aside from my kid being born, this is the greatest night of my life. So sayeth Rocky Balboa, so echo I. San Diego Comic Con. I knew there was a reason I moved to Los Angeles. For that one chance every year to be part of something that is not quite rock concert, not quite renaissance faire, not quite geeky, and not quite cool. Or perhaps it's the fact that it is 100% geeky and 100% cool. Anyway, a write up is coming soon, with pictures, and ye shall all be suitably impressed at the celebrities I saw there. Well, some were pseudo celebrities, and some were dressed like celebrities, and there was one pimp who may have thought he was at the erotica expo. I'm not sure. I got a monkey print and an original monkey sketch from Ken Knudtsen, creator of the wonderful My Monkey's Name is Jennifer. SO THERE! Keep your eyes peeled!
In other news... contests have been entered and letters sent out. So if you've been wishing me luck, please wish harder.
That is all.

Angel of Waters...the draft...finally....

So, finally, Angel of Waters is in full working order. I've finished a draft that I'm actually happy with, happy enough to revise and edit as is, instead of changing the plot constantly. So that's a good thing. I sent the script in to a contest for ABC/Disney studios, so wish me luck! Also, a reading tomorrow night! I must go buy ink... and paper... and print the damn thing out. I hate sending things out without a proper read, but deadlines are deadlines...Anyway, more to come...

Coming up for air...

Yes, I've been at the grindstone, both at work and at the computer, feverishly trying to finish a draft of Angel of Waters for a script competition. Whee! It's actually nice to be so close to finishing. I can finally put these characters down after two years of tinkering between books.
Speaking of books...
Well, nothing happening yet on the book front. Next weekend is dedicated to sending out query letters. And the waiting shall begin...
There are more movie reviews up on my movie page. And if anyone knows of a good, cheap WYSIWYG web page designer, I'd like to know, because publisher is getting way too stupid for me. It never does what I want.
